Huh. I thought Scottsdale survived at least one post-covid event. Always impressed me how a desert made mud thick enough to coat. Detroit's mud day also disappeared without so much as a mention.
One or two of the Illinois mud volleyball events is gone and the great mud CASA event in Alabama also died this year. Pig wrestling is going away mostly, the mud runs are now mostly obstacle and water runs. Dayton is always hit or miss for consistency.
Treasure the few good mud events we have left while we have them. At least it seems to still be popular on college campuses, so there's hope the next generation will revive the traditions of the past for the public once more.
