For some that was full uniform, and for others football kit.
I agree with you. I used to get really excited putting on my school clothes in the morning knowing I was going to soak them later in the day
I used to pray that it would rain around 3.30pm just as we were coming out of school. Nothing better than a slow wet walk home, taking in some puddles on the way. Still love the thought of wet uniform now, even though I Don't wear it anymore.
Of course when it was at school it was made from heavier fabric, that didn't wash as well as now. None of the polyester mixes we have now
