Got dunked FINALLY!

Hi everyone! I'm Kolton, I'm 15 and my whole life I've been OBSESSED with swimming in my clothes - and also wearing them in the shower and bath, playing in the rain, and even slapstick stuff like getting pranked with a bucket of water over my head. For a while I'd thought that there was something wrong with this obsession. I realized that my friends didn't have the same feeling that I did, and for a while I wondered if that meant something was wrong. Now I realize there's nothing wrong with it. But I still haven't always had the chance to do some of the stuff I've dreamed about. One thing in particular is dunk tanks. Every since the first time I saw one I KNEW I wanted to go in one. But I've never had the chance before. Until last weekend!
I know it sounds pretty nerdy but I was helping out at a summar camp at church. THe adult leader asked me and two of my friends if we'd be willing to go in a dunk tank and let the younger kids dunk us. Before I could even think about it I heard myself agree. ANd to my relief so did my two friends!!
And it was just as awesome as I thought! I loved the feeling of sitting suspended above the water, never knowing when the seat would tip me into a water. The water was cold and refreshing. Plus everyonoe was just laughing and having a good time. It was a blast.
I wore a polo shirt, white undershirt and khaki shorts. I was worried that it would be weird if I showed up fully clothed. But what I wore was basically our camp uniform. I wanted to wear jeans or long pants but I chickend out because I worried it would be too "noticable". I guss I shoudn't have worried because my friend Patrick wore long pants in the dunk tank and no one cared. My other friend Sam wore gym shorts. So I guess I was kind of in the middle. But again no one really seemed to care.
I am DEFINITELY going to do a dunk tank again. But there's a couple things I'd do differently. For starters I would wear long pants instead of shorts and maybe even a long sleeve shirt or dress shirt. I think wearing a tie might be funny. Also I would keep my shoes and socks on. This time I didn't have a pair of shoes I could risk ruining by wearing in the water so I just went barefoot. Ngl it was really hot out so it actually felt kind of nice going barefoot but I still would have rathered wear my shoes in the water. Next time!!
Also if you ever setup a dunk tank event I have a little bit of advice. First, DO NOT PUT THE DUNK TANK ON BLACKTOP PARKING LOT! Because if you are barefoot, you BURN your feet on the ground! Yes I did forget flip flops and I should have just remembered to bring them but stilll. It would have been SO much better if it was on grass instead.
Also if you bring the 'dunkeess' inside after they get dunked, don't have the air conditioning set like you're in the arctic! My clothes were still damp but they brought us all inside and we had an activity to do before they let us change and my god I thought I was going to freeze solid. It was SOO COLD! So just be sure to let people change into dry clothes when they're ready, don't assume that they want to stay in their soaked clothes the whole time!
